The yuletide breeze, like the pleasant aroma of brewing coffee and the alluring whiff of relaxing tea once again awakens our senses to this wonderful season of gift giving and merry making we fondly celebrate as Christmas. The scent of the season has been made even more fragrant, as The Coffee Bean and Tea leaf pioneers 12 Cups with the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Give in to Giving.

When one of the most loved and renowned coffee and tea house brands exclaims that their offerings are Simply the Best, it simply couldn’t be more obvious. Not only does The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf boast a nearly 50 year-long existence in providing a passion for distinct flavors with a heartwarming twist of innovation, it has also satisfied the hearts and penchants of people worldwide with its calling for social responsibility.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf recognizes that it is not near to impossible that this generation of coffee drinkers with unsatiable appetite must be awakened. That I meant literally and figuratively as awakening of the brewing passion for hope and positivism, and empowering each and every one of us to the true meaning of sharing and fulfilling social responsibilities.

Sparking aspirations one cup at a time, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf launched 12 Cups with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Give in to Giving. With a brewing passion for coffee, tea, and social responsibility, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Partnered with 12 organizations that cater to different advocacies - Kababaihan Gabay sa Bayan (KAGABAY), Caritas Manila-Restorative Justice, The Philippine Animal and Welfare Society (PAWS), Bahay Tuluyan, Haribon, Cartwheel Foundation, Kythe, Autism Society of the Philippines (ASP), Philippine Cerebral Palsy Inc., Philippine Band of Mercy (PBM), Resources for the Blind, and Philippine Business for Social Congress (PBSP).

The 12 advocacy driven organizations presented themselves to the guests, bloggers’ community and friends from the press with utmost glee, extending a handful of enthusiasm for the guests to choose which organization they will support.

“Sometimes all one needs is a start,” says Paolo del Rosario, Director for Marketing “If you’re one of the many who have continuously pledged, year in and year out to get involved or want to help but don’t know what organizations are out there, The 12 Cups with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf: Give in to Giving Promo can serve as your springboard.”

Continuing the glow of passion-driven events like The Zen of Tea, a tea appreciation seminar with Master Tea Blender David DeCandia and What’s Your Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Story for passionate storyteller, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has yet again ushered another fruitful first through Give in to Giving, this time featuring limited edition commemorative journals designed by 12 of the most important Filipino artists today. These journals will be given away as a token of appreciation to the participants, and will be available for every one who will be completing 12 drinks, with a donation under your name for your chosen charity.

“If you ask me, with the abundance of blogs, social networking sites and mobile phones, the passion of our generation is really that we share a piece of ourselves to others,” say del Rosario “Through Give in to Giving, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf hopes this will start a changing our generation for the better, one cup at a time.”

The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf does not only have a perfect understanding of its craft, it also has so much belief in this generation of optimists, and knows that unique initiatives for the greater good will always be the perfect theme for the season.

So as much as coffee and tea awakens each and every one’s senses to a more efficient work day, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s Give in to Giving stimulates the senses and the self, to a more enlightened way of life. Perhaps it’s time to post the question, “have you‘bean giving?”
